HyperLan-Pack
The HyperLan-Pack establishes a high velocity Ethernet wireless link among buildings, factories, CCTV cameras, offshore platforms and temporary installations. In other words, it allows Ethernet networks or Ethernet equipments to be connected to each other.
The HyperLan-Pack is available in two versions: long range (up to 5 Km) and medium range (up to 1.5 Km) at 40 Mbps data rate.
The distance that can be covered increases significantly (up to 50 Km) when data rate decreases to 10 Mbps.
The kit is made of two WiFi units and two parabolic antennas.
The HyperLan-Pack is based upon the WiFi 5.3 GHz standard (IEEE 802.11a), which is not so widely used for WiFi equipments. Then, a good level of security against interferences from existing WiFi networks is ensured.
